A Note to Future Co-workers
Hi there 👋 future co-worker/manager/friend,
Thank you for visiting my corner of the internet. if you’re reading this you’re probably looking to add an awesome designer to your team. Well, look no further, I’m your person.
I’m a product designer by trade – born, raised and based out for the New York tri-state area. I’m also an illustrator, ceramists, husband and boy-dad. I’m in search of a team that is passionate about what they do, about life, are serious about their craft and know how to have fun too!
I love trying new tech, I’m currently exploring how to incorporate generative-AI into my product design workflow. I follow an emergent design process; depending on the problem to solve I’ll find the appropriate tool to discover and understand the space, then make informed design decisions, seek feedback that moves the design in the right direction.

David Gonzalez
David Gonzalez is a multifaceted designer with a unique blend of skills in visual design, including UI design, design systems, branding design, and graphic design, as well as expertise in UX/product design, UX research methodologies, and Enterprise Design Thinking facilitation. He has a proven track record of leading projects from concept to launch, resulting in increased user engagement and satisfaction. With expertise in conducting user research, creating user personas, and developing user journeys to inform the design process, David is skilled at facilitating design sprints and workshops to align stakeholders and cross-functional teams around a common design vision.
Currently, at IBM Research he is directly responsible for leading the end-to-end design execution of data-heavy B2B tools that help IBM researchers in designing, testing and analyzing next-generation semiconductors.
Previously, at IBM Global Sales he served as an Advisory Innovation & Strategy Designer, where he leverages the IBM Value Engineering Methodology to deliver a unique client co-creation experience for Fortune 500 companies. In this role, he facilitated collaborative design sessions with clients and IBM account teams to co-create and co-execute an initial iteration of an MVP, and then validate that technology or solution leading to meaningful business outcomes for clients and grow IBM’s Hybrid Cloud and Generative AI software footprint, leading to over $17M in revenue growth and over $27M sales opportunities progressed in 2022-2023.
David previously worked as a Principal Designer at EquityMultiple. He led product design efforts throughout the entire product lifecycle and used design thinking methodologies to work across departments and bring in new ideas for their users and platform. Additionally, he was responsible for aligning and pushing EquityMultiple's design maturity, working directly with their engineering team to build and scale their design system.
David's experience also includes work as a freelance illustrator, creating original illustrations for use in advertisements, books, magazines, packaging, greetings cards, and newspapers, as well as in-house staff illustrator and graphic designer roles at Paperless Post and NYLON Magazine.
When David is not designing, you can find him chipping away at his creative side projects, exploring coffee shops looking for the best cortado, and spending time with his wife and baby boy.
